2013 Music Cognition Symposium - Midwest Region

A regional Music Cognition Symposium will be held in the School of Music at Ohio State University from May 24 to 26th, 2013.  The Symposium will feature a combination of invited speakers and submitted paper and poster presentations.  A call for submissions will appear in mid-December.  The symposium is intended to facilitate scholarly interaction, especially among scholars in the US Midwest region.  The Symposium will address the psychology of music, with a special emphasis on musicological and theoretical topics.

The symposium is preceded by a three-day workshop-course on empirical research methods in music scholarship, taught by Dr. David Huron. Participants can enroll for graduate course credit.

For further information contact the Symposium Chair: Dr. Daniel Shanahan
