2013 Music Cognition Symposium - Midwest Region
A regional Music Cognition Symposium will be held in the School of Music at Ohio State University from May 24 to 26th, 2013. The Symposium will feature a combination of invited speakers and submitted paper and poster presentations. A call for submissions will appear in mid-December. The symposium is intended to facilitate scholarly interaction, especially among scholars in the US Midwest region. The Symposium will address the psychology of music, with a special emphasis on musicological and theoretical topics.
The symposium is preceded by a three-day workshop-course on empirical research methods in music scholarship, taught by Dr. David Huron. Participants can enroll for graduate course credit.
